People need a story that moves them, and I capture that moment in my artworks

MARKET INSIGHTS
Signals & insights by the global art market. Auctions, collectors, fairs and capital movements shaping contemporary art.
MY JOURNEY
Over the years, my work developed first through painting. At the same time, I continuously observed the dynamics of the international art market. From this combination of artistic practice and observation, I have now begun to reflect on these experiences in writing.
After completing my art studies and my training in marketing research, I refined my artistic practice. Starting from the haptic discipline of studying nature, I developed my own technique, which I call Cutters Cutting Art, forming the foundation of my personal visual language.
For more than twenty years I have lived in Dubai, where I witnessed the coordinated transformation of a country from a developing environment into a high-tech metropolis. This transformation also reshaped the international art market, which expanded structurally and repositioned itself globally during this period. For my artistic work, I was granted a Golden Visa for Artists in the United Arab Emirates.
My work therefore moves between artistic practice, market observation and analytical reflection. Painting and writing function as two connected forms through which I examine perception, structure and transformation within the context of art.
WORK
Artist & Author
In the category Artist & Author, the artist provides professional services within the art sector, including consulting, commissioned works, exhibitions, as well as market participation and representation through galleries, museums and institutions. This activity constitutes an independent professional field in which artistic value is determined exclusively by investors and the market.
The artist recognized herself as such at the age of two and regards her artistic practice as a conscious way of life rather than a career choice. Her mother once said: “Katharina, if you do not want art, then your life must become art.”
Through her independent practice and the direct sale of her works worldwide, she has developed a profound understanding of art markets and is able to assess the strategic orientation of Cabinet Art Affairs with precision.
